If, for whatever reason, you are not in a position to do your own repair, then you can commission me for a tomofholland Visible Mend.

Multiple repairs on a cashmere cardigan, using sympathetic yet contrasting wool
Vintage cardigan commission, repaired with vintage wool
I am so pleased to have come across your visible mending. I love the idea of a garment giving away some of its life story the way old houses do. The idea’s not made it to my part of the world (Warwickshire) that I know about, but I hope to be assertive enough to try it out in public
Tom, I stumbled across your work via Instagram. Beautiful! Now I search through my house for something to start mending. Greetings from Germany.
I would like to know if you have a visible mending service.
It is about a very old black cardigan in wool which I like very much.
I don’t know how to knit so I ‘m a little bit afraid to repair it by myself.
Thank you for your answer.
Hi Ariane, I do have a mending service. You can email me on tomofholland AT gmail DOT com. Please include some pictures. Best, Tom
Very beautiful work; thank you for continuing a tradition that my mother Continued so well, but I fear I have not done. Judith
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring work. Seeing various visible mending examples has inspired me to practice some techniques so I can try and mend 3 of my gorgeous cashmere jumpers in a way that doesn’t hide the damage, but rather highlights how much love I have for my existing clothes! Jen
